At Gemjar we take sustainability and ethical production very seriously. The factories we partner with are also trusted by a larger brand and undergo monthly audits to ensure the highest standards. Our founder, Steve, personally visits these factories every year to ensure everything is in line with our values.
I have attached a video taken at the factory producing our knee-high and over-the-knee socks, which Steve visited in February. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and automated processes. We believe this helps to ensure not only quality but also efficiency and safety throughout the production process.
Bamboo, which is the key material in many of our socks, is an inherently sustainable resource. When harvested responsibly, bamboo regrows quickly, minimizing its environmental footprint. While wool production is more difficult to trace from its source, we trust in our suppliers to uphold the same high standards as our factories. Additionally, many of the man-made fibres, such as polyester, used in our wool blend socks are sourced from recycled materials.
We’re also committed to reducing waste in every way we can. Our packaging and labelling is made from recycled paper and cardboard whenever possible.
Thank you for supporting our mission to bring you high-quality, sustainable products. We’re grateful for your trust and we’ll continue to work hard to uphold the standards you expect from us.
