When we first learned about Royal Trinity Hospice through a connection at a trade show, we were inspired by the incredible care and support the charity provides to patients and their families. We knew we wanted to contribute in a way that reflected our own values as a business.
Sustainability is at the heart of what we do at Gemjar. As with many manufacturers, surplus stock can arise from seasonal collections, discontinued lines or changes in demand. Rather than allowing perfectly good products to go to waste, we chose to donate our surplus socks to Royal Trinity Hospice, giving them a second life while reducing unnecessary waste.
We're proud to share that, through these donations, we've helped raise more than £3,000 for Royal Trinity Hospice and the amount is still rising! It's a fantastic example of how surplus stock can create value beyond the warehouse - keeping quality products in circulation, reducing waste and generating vital funds for compassionate end-of-life care.
This partnership has shown us that sustainability and social impact can go hand in hand.
